Trevor Cox
Lead Vocals / Rhythm Guitar / Harmonica
Trevor Cox plays rhythm guitar, the harmonica and
vocalizes the lyrics of Coffee Sandwich.
Trevor developed a taste for music at a young age, making several
guitars out of elastic bands and Kleenex boxes. At the age of 3 Trevor
received his first toy guitar and wrote his first song ever. The song
was entitled, "That's Her Name," and was written about his baby sister.
She cried when she heard it, not out of joy, but out of frustration and
anger. She got up and left the room mid-song. Needless to say the song
was never played again.
Trevor has written many Coffee Sandwich tunes (none about his sister)
such as "Radio Dreams," "Walls," "Gloria," "The Mullet Song," and more.
He has been greatly influenced by the music of his favorite band
Barenaked Ladies.
At live shows, Trevor plays an Ibanez EXC30 acoustic/electric guitar,
Marine Band M. Hohner harmonicas, and uses a Shure microphone.
